It is wrong to think that as long as you're happy, nothing else matters. It is wrong because everyone around you who matters to you matters and you need them to be happy for you to be happy. Therein lies the sad truth: No one is always happy, and not everyone can be happy at the same time because for every person that is happy, another person is sad.
It is wrong to believe that you can change the world and you can make everyone around you happy because you can't. No matter how much you care for all the people you love, you are never their sole reason to be happy.
I've tried. And you can't.
You can only stay happy and hope that it will infect the people around you to also be happy. But then again, you can't always be happy.
This is why there's truth in this:
"The greatest joy you'll ever find, is to love and be loved in return."
But love is also painful.
It is a vicious cycle. There is no such thing as being happy forever.
